The salvation army will be hosting a feeding America mobile pantry on Wednesday, September 15th at 10 am. A mobile pantry truck contains 15,000 pounds of food that is sent on the truck to provide for over 300 families in need. This is a first come, first serve pantry. Captain Rhegan Stansbury says,” the food is coming in from Feeding America, so they really try to bring in seasonal fresh produce.”
Stansbury says, “for the last year and a half the salvation army has been hosting every other month.”
The mobile pantry will be in Menominee at the old Kmart parking lot at the M&M Plaza from 10am until Noon. The pantry will continue as a drive-thru process. To sponsor a truck or to volunteer please call 715-735-7448.
