The National Housing Corporation is entering into a 36-month Internet Service Provider contract with Telikom PNG Limited as its communications provider.
Telikom PNG Ltd chief executive officer Amos Tepi, said the service level agreement defines priority services that Telikom PNG will be providing and supporting throughout the contract term.
He said Telikom PNG is excited to enter into a partnership with NHC, who have been disconnected for a very long period.
“Telikom is happy to partner and work with a State-owned entity and I would like to thank the managing director of National Housing Corporation for choosing our services,” Mr Tepi said.
He said priority services consist of high speed internet access, data services to support wide area network connectivity, fixed voice services via SIP Trunk and additional services that Telikom PNG can provide the NHC, including mobile and valued added Telinet feature services, email hosting, web hosting, DNS hosting and back up services.
NHC managing director Henry Mokono said since he took office there was no proper connectivity, which was a challenge.
He said, because Telikom PNG is State-owned, he chose to get the services from Telikom.
Mr Mokono gave the payment of K76,483 one off establishment payment, K418,658.40 total recurring rentals for the 36-month term.
The service level agreement contract will deliver several valuable benefits to both Telikom and NHC in both managing customer expectations and the essential performance targets and bench marks for Telikom as an ISP.
